Death Parade is not the more feared reflection of end of life, but more that death is a circular moving rhythm that all life moves in, constantly dying and being reborn. The parade is the celebration of existing, that it all keeps going whether you want it to or not. Death Parade (formally known as Laura Palmer’s Death Parade) has had many rebirths since their first full-length release in 2018 “Among us All”. Currently restructuring into its newest form, Death Parade focuses on the driving current through the healing pain of grief, embodying the sentiment that just because it’s over doesn’t mean time stops. Life keeps going and you rebuild. This version of Death Parade brings the blood back to the body, the heart pumping again, even when the mind feels numb. Soft fuzzy guitars and melodic riffs blend with haunting washed out vocals, as driving drums give space to the moment. There is a sense of hope within the darkness, that death is part of the path of life and it must be integrated, not feared.
Twingle is the moniker of songstress and multi instrumentalists Anna Sabatino based out of Portland, OR. Raised in a one room cabin in the small town of Evergreen, Colorado she began writing songs at young age featuring guitar and later banjo. Her roots are in oldtimey folk and bluegrass, but later went on to realms of Experimental/Psychedelic/French pop which all work to cultivate her sound and melodic patterns. She went on to study and gain a songwriting degree at CU Denver where she became influenced by artists as Broadcast, Cate Lebon, and Jessica Pratt. This is the time she wrote a collection of songs based off of the lives of feminist writers of the twentieth century- songs that make up most of Twingle's catalog. This past year she has gained a backing band that recently recorded a full length album to tape. The album will be called Future Caviar expected to be released in 2023 . Twingle is unsure of their genre but refers to the sound as Singer-Songwriter/Art Rock.
